I found this campsite is for young people only as i stayed for six nights and didn't get a good nights sleep once due to all the noise so if you like all night partying this is the place for you but even trying to sleep in the day was a problem as it was too hot and stuffy inside the tent. There is a good shop and bar. But be warned there are no toilet roll, soap, or towels provided in the toilets you must bring your own(some people must have not realized this and wiped poo all up the walls-nice ah) Although the toilets are cleaned every morning. You also have to purchase a shower coin every day about 0.80Euro and there is always a queue for a shower. The staff are friendly enough and you can purchase bus and tram tickets from reception which works out a lot cheaper, and although the campsite is a long way away from anywhere the transport is excellent and most drivers speak good english. So apart from the noise of loud young people, and guiter and bongo playing at all hours not a bad campsite.

I stayed here in June 2002. It was very quiet at this time of the year, which for me was a good thing. Facillities are great with a shop, bar, restraunt, laundry, showers. Here is a tip if your fussy about clean toilets don't use the ones opposite reception, but use the ones in the shower block as they are a lot cleaner. The girls in the reception are very helpfull, but be patient with them as they tend to be very busy.
They sell dagkaarten/strippenkaarten as well as other transport tickets which is handy as the tram 14 leaves just over the bridge at the Flevopark stop and you can get off at the royal palace in dam square.
further along on zeeburgstraat you can catch the bus 22, which will take you to Centraal Station. There is a mini animal farm on site.
BEWARE fore if your in your tent having a bout of the munchies, be aware that you might end up with half the farm in your tent.

Stayed at this campsite with some friends for a couple of days this summer. If you haven't been to Amsterdam before you're probably better off staying nearer the city centre, as you have to get a bus or tram to this place (or face a walk of at least an hour from centraal station as we did one night!). The facilities are good enough for a campsite (i.e don't expect five star luxury) with a wicked little shop and bar, the staff are pretty friendly and they'll try to help you out with any queries. Right next to the tram/bus stop where you get off there's a big outdoor swimming pool, which is a blessed relief if it's as hot as it was this summer. Also, they have a little farm kinda thing goin on with goats, chickens and other animals which roam freely round the site, so keep an eye on your food!
