“Fun!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013 via mobile

This hostel is VERY close to Centraal Station, and it's directly in the heart of the downtown touristy part of the city. Lots of coffeeshops, restaurants, and bars nearby, not to mention the red light district. The Meeting Point staff was cool and helpful. I met some great people in my room, but the majority of the people hanging out at the bar in the lobby were staring at their phones. :) Enjoy your stay!

Stayed here in for three nights recently and i have no big grumbles about this hostel. The hostel its self is in a very good location not far for the main station and you can walk to almost all must sees in Amsterdam. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean but did smell a little of feet. My bed was a little hard but my two friends beds were softer. First problem was there were no power outlets in a 20 bed room NOT ONE! in some ways this makes sense in other ways it makes no sense at all, but on the plus side the hostel provided plenty down stairs in the bar area which is open 24 hours a day. The general atmosphere was ok not the best but it was not the worst. The smoking room was small and cramped quite often but the view at night was very nice. My room was at the very top of the building which was a pain in the butt especially after a long day of walking around, but this is the case with every building in Amsterdam. overall a very nice break hostel was practical and in an ideal location would recommend to anyone looking for a good bog standard hostel for a good price. ticks all the boxes really.

Room Tip: 1st floor seems to have less traffic of people and you don't have the trek to the top floor

Good area. Weird atmosphere down stairs. So many creepy old men. Crappy bunks. One PowerPoint in a twelve person room. But in saying that it was very clean. Staff are a bit weird too but nice. Wifi not to bad.

Stayed here in June for a two day trip to Amstedam. It is right in the central of Red Light District and very close to Metro, food and coffee shops. You get what you pay for. Shower was clean, bar downstairs is convenient and breakfast was ok.

This place is cheap and you get what you pay for - large rooms with a bed to sleep and thats it. The lockers are available that your whole bag fits in so you stuff is safe and the bar downstairs is 24 hours. Because the rooms are so big and so many people its hard to get a uninterrupted sleep. However if you are like most people visiting Amsterdam you all you need is somewhere to crash and for this purpose the place is perfect.

This place was the first that we stayed on on our inter rail trip and it was great, the best price we found in the city and the place was clean and staff we very helpful. We had the 18 bed dorm and it was quite at night and lively in the day

Good location in a central part of the city and near some reasonably priced coffee and smart(truffles) shops. The staff were friendly although the no-guests door policy was needlessly strict but I think that's standard for Amsterdam. The smoking room was pretty rubbish as you can't really relax on wooden bar stools but it's nice how it overlooks one of the canals. As did our room which was really nice.

Room Tip: Try get a room that overlooks the canal!
