“On the River”
Reviewed June 21, 2011

We stayed here for two nights in the triple room and one night had an extra bed added and there was still space for us. Our room was on the lower level and our window looked right out onto the river - beautiful. The hotel was in a great location for us - slightly away from the bustle but only a ten minute walk to numerous restaurants. Breakfast was a big buffet with lots of selection. Receptionists were very helpful. We got a taxi to the hotel from the train station, but you could walk/subway.

Best breakfast included in price I've ever seen. Desk Clerks were very helpful and knew their stuff. Just a short walk to a tram stop which gives you access to all of teh city. Rooms plain but clean and comfortable.

Stayed at the Bridge Hotel spanning Queen's Day in Amsterdam. The location was good (far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk to the fun areas and close by the subway station to the Central Station. The hotel was nicely appointed but, as a senior with arthritis problems, having to haul suitcases up and down stairs was difficult. If your healthy, this is a great place and the morning breakfast can't be beat.

We stayed here for three nights in June. There was a small problem with our room on arrival (not the hotel's fault; a guest had given the wrong information) which was fixed quickly. The staff was very helpful with making reservations and giving advice. They do have bikes to rent, but only 6 for the whole place. There are plenty of places to rent nearby. The room was large, the bed was the most comfortable we had in six weeks in Europe. Free wifi. The bathroom was poorly lit and smelled like the sewer, which was really the worst part. It's located right on the canal near a bridge; it's beautiful at night. It's not too far from the train station (and downtown), but there's a metro stop three blocks away if you'd rather take that. We really enjoyed our stay.

Freindly. helpful staff. Quiet . Ample breakfasts. Very clean. Rooms good-sized for a city known for its small rooms. Very good value for its location and price. I would stay there again.

Small inn with big heart. Family owned with personal touches & adorable dogs in lobby by fireplace. Cozy. Afternoon tea and beverages available at front desk. Community room with books, maps and computer for guest use. Large, traditional Dutch buffet breakfast served. Rooms vary greatly in size, view and prices. Some with canal or river view. Singles available. Fresh modern room decor in a historic blg. Convenient location by Hermitage Museum and tram stops. Mostly Euro tourists, a plus for me!

Room Tip: Book early. Hotel very popular w/repeat guests
