The hotel is in a good location and on a lovely street. The rooms are small and the stairs are steep but that is what you get in Amsterdam and it’s part of the charm. The beds are comfortable with nice fresh linen. Breakfast was okay nothing very exciting but perfectly acceptable, the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The hallways are a bit tired looking but you could argue that’s part of the charm. The rooms, reception and bar are all quite quirky.
We were there in mid October and it was unseasonably warm. Unfortunately, this meant our room got very hot, the window did open but only the small part at the top and this made little difference to the temperature in the room. There is a fan in the room which when it’s on it sounds ridiculously loud (drowned out the TV)More
