It is a good hotel if you plan to stay few days by yourself or with some friends. Staff is kind and ready to help, the room was clean and essential. I spent five days and the position of the place is really really central so it permits you to ge everywhere from there.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Amsterdam Inn because of the place where the hotel is located, but not because of the hotel itself! The hotel was very small and dirty. The mattress sank in. The bad room is very small. There is no hairdryer in the bad room. You can't close the bad room's door as well. The toilet is very near to the door! The wardrobe is very small and there are just 3 coat hangers in it!

Not the sort of place I would take my girlfriend. Definitely a lads (or lasses) weekend away hotel. Room was small and tatty (ripped curtains, hole punched in bathroom door), the shower poor and beds uncomfortable and way too soft. The area, despite being a twenty minute walk from the city centre, was noisy at night. Fortunately the other residents weren't too noisy and the hotel fulfilled its function. It was acceptably clean. Note the reception is only manned for part of the day and check in etc was in another hotel over the road. There are none of the reception facilities you would get in a standard modern hotel. It is typically Amsterdam so wasn't too surprised and was adequate as a budget hotel (not that the price was cheap - I've stayed in better for less)

Ok normally I dnt care where I'm staying cos you only need a room to sleep in right, but seriously lmao we stayed 4 days on the 4th floor (don't even get me started on the 3cm deep stairs) and after our first shower on the first night the maid took our dirty towels and never replaced them lmfao so we dried in the beds instead since she remembered to change those. I would recommend bringing ur own shampoo conditioner and body wash since the only liquid provided in the room was actual hand wash so my hair now feels like it is made of wood. We booked the twin room with shower and it literally was 2 twin beds (we moved to make a double) and a broken side table and just an odd chair taking up the rest of the floor space. Personally our door closed quite smoothly but everyone else's seemed to pick up wind and slam every time anyone opened one, we were also woken at 1am by a fire alarm and I know the sound of city traffic is meant to be relaxing but seriously it sounded like our room was outside on the road. I think the mattress was made of sponge so if you put small valuables on the bed be careful when you sit down as they will roll away and never be seen again. Also my back kills. If you are planning on eating out whilst here I would recommend pooping while ur out as well since the toilet didn't flush. The wardrobe was 1 coat hanger on a hook. The tv also didn't work but that's ok because you can listen to people screaming all through the day and night if you like background noise. Has anyone seen hostel? We didn't get (physically) tortured but the decor was similar. Also I think some crack addicts actually live on the 3rd floor. The location wasn't too bad as was actually situated in Amsterdam but it cost us €250 for 3 nights and I literally wouldn't stay here again even if it was for free xxx

Great location for Leidsestraat and the surronding area, many shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops close by.
