We had a very comfortable four night stay at this lovely B&B. Our room had a great view over the canal and it was only a three minute walk to the Koningsplein tram stop which was convenient. The beds were comfortable and the main room was very spacious. Fritz gave us some helpful advice on places to go and see when we first arrived and overall we were happy with our stay.

I Iived in Amsterdam for 3 years about 35 years ago and this B & B is the real deal. The location is just perfect, the breakfast very complete and Loes was extremely helpful in his suggestions regarding restaurants, parking and general travel info. Yes, there were a couple of mosquitoes occasionally, but nothing disturbing. Really a nice place.

Room Tip: If you have a car park at the Olympishe Stadion and they give you a free pair of tram tickets to get...

The hosts, room and breakfast were great. The location was good and central to all. The entrance is a bit misleading. It was cold and sterile, not like the rooms upstairs or dining area.
Our bedroom was very roomy and the bed was cozy. Lots of interesting fashion paraphernalia on the walls that I meant to ask about as they seemed to be dedicated to the owners.
Breakfast was great. Frits makes delicious coffee and an egg every morning with breads and cheese and meat. He was also kind enough to sit with us and mark up our map with recommendations.

We spent 2 nights at this lovely house which is in a central but quiet part of the city. In summary, a comfortable room, great breakfast, charming hosts and a very reasonable price. We felt quite spoiled. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a short break for 2 adults looking for a peaceful base.

We had a great room for a nominal price right in the middle of everything. You can walk or bike to the train station. Nightlife and people watching are the best. The hosts were helpful and the breakfast was ample with good conversation and advice.

My wife and I stayed at this B&B in Amsterdam for 3 nights May 28-30, 2012. This was our first trip to Amsterdam and you don't know a neighborhood in a city you have never been in - especially one so different from anyplace else in the world. In retrospect, we think this is the best location in the city. It's centrally located, being walking distance to the Anne Frank House, and the Rijks/Van Gogh museums. The location is also very quiet on a not busy street and on a canal. On top of that the owners, Loes and Frits are super nice and the house is very charming. The rooms are large, quiet and very comfortable. There are some steps up, so be warned that our room was 51 steps up from the street, but that didn't bother us. The breakfast was good. They have a cute little dog, who is very friendly, but be warned if you have allergies to dogs. I highly recommend this place if you are going to Amsterdam.

My husband and I recently spent 9 days in Loes' and Frit's charming bed and breakfast. The location is perfect! We had a large, comfortable room. The bedroom and bathroom, as well as closets and drawers were all so well kept and clean. The breakfasts were just what we needed each morning to start our busy day. Loes and Frits were very helpful with suggestions to plan our days and evenings. They were the perfect hosts!
