Stayed here for 3 nights in July - very central hotel - right in middle of dam square, heaps of restaurants and bars close by, about 2 min walk to red light district and smoking cafes. 10 minute walk to nightclubs.
Receptionist was very helpful and answered all of our questions. Very clean hotel and rooms are cleaned everyday. Great breakfast & free wifi in rooms. Beds are very comfortable
Only down fall rooms get really hot and stuffy - no air con or fan in bathroom
Would defiantly stay here again on my return to Amsterdam! :)

Been here a few time with friends on different trips and will continue to go back.
For a group of guys there is the benefit of getting 3 into a room, so this reduces trip costs but the rooms are reasonably priced.
Hotel is in a great location just off dam square, so within walking distance of the train station and a lot of attractions nearby.
Most recent stay was in Feb 13 with girlfriend and it was easy to get a taxi to further afield areas like the Rijksmuseum in the Museumplein, with all its bars and restaurants and of course museums! Also Rembrant square and the Heinekin experience.

Thorougly recommend going on a beer bike in Amsterdam, its one of the best!

Room Tip: Depends on what trip your on, all rooms are fine. Make sure you visit the vending machine in the lo...

We've stayed in this hotel a number of times now. Whilst the beds and rooms are basic, the location is great and breakfast is included in the price. On average, it costs 15-20 euro per person to eat out, so while this is only an OK hotel, it helps save money elsewhere. It's also a converted theatre and quite fascinating to walk around.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that overlooks the street if possible. There are a number of rooms on each floor whi...

The hotel is well situated next to popular Dam Square. My room was spartan, but clean and comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was typically European, with ample choices. If you go, check out the spacious lobby which is reminiscent of a past era.

Having stayed in various hotels in Amsterdam, we (pensioner mother and daughter), we opted for the Rho because of the central location - we weren't disappointed - it is convenient for all tourist attractions, restaurants and bars. The hotel was spotless, the bedroom slightly on the small side but perfectly adequate, with a view over many roof tops - however it was very quiet. A room with a view in Amsterdam, invariably means a room with noise from the road. The buffet breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety, including traditional cooked and continental selection - couldn't be faulted.
This is a reasonably priced, no frills hotel - excellent value for money (especially considering prices in Amsterdam!). It does not however cut any corners the staff were brilliant, the reception staff in particular were polite, extremely helpful and had a sense of humour! Would we stay here again? Most certainly! We would recommend it to anyone of any age!

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are quiet

We stayed at Rho hotel in June for 3 nights. We were very impressed with the service and the staff. Though the check-in time was 12.00 but they allowed early check-in at 9.00 along with breakfast. We found the location very convenient and close to Dam square. There was Wi-fi in the room and the breakfast was nice. I would truly recommend this place to my friends.
