Very good quiet location with extremely friendly staff/owners. Highly recommended.

I stayed here for 3 nights in November 2011. I was in a single room that was like a tiny dorm room, but bathroom ensuite, and what more do you need? It's very convenient to the trams to central Amsterdam and the train station, and a 4 Euro bus ride to the airport that the staff steered me to instead of a ~35 Euro taxi or 15.50 Euro shuttle. The owners are young and enthusiastic and aim to please. The fresh Dutch pancakes and scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast are a pleasure.

We stayed here for around 6 days in the month of October 2011. The hotel in located very close to the Rijks and the Van Gogh Museums. Both are within walking distance. Public transport is very close by and there is a supermarket also quite close.

The hotel rooms are clean and simple ( I would recommend staying in the larger rooms in the hotel if available). The breakfast is a simple spread but is very good (Loved the pancakes).

The hotel has free laundry service and a free umbrella for daily use. The lifts are slightly on the smaller side but should not be too much of a concern.

The hotel is located in a quite street on the city and gives the feel of living in an amsterdam home. The staff is lovely and is always eager to help you. They make you feel at home.

I would highly recommend this great hotel to all.

We stayed here in August with my parents and sister after celebrating my parents' 50th wedding anniversary on a Rhine cruise. The location, just around the corner from both the Rijks- and Van Gogh museums, was perfect. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and simple, with everything in the right place. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. We look forward to staying here again and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay near the museums for a reasonable price.

Hotel Fita is in an excellent location for any part of Amsterdam and is handily connected to the airport via the 197 bus. The rooms are clean and tidy with everything working as it should. The breakfasts are amazing and Roel and his team are adept at providing good tips for restaurants and other local info. Why stay anywhere esle?

My partner and I have recently returned from a 3 night stay at hotel Fita and we also agree with all the fantastic reviews this hotel already has. On arrival, staff were very welcoming-giving us an insight to all the sights and hidden gems in Amsterdam. The location was ideal, close to tram and bus stops and a short walk to the museum district (tram 2 or 5 from the central station-cheap way to travel!). Great clean family run hotel, with extremely friendly staff and the best pancakes we have ever eaten! Wont stay anywhere else in Amsterdam!

This was my third trip to the city but the first stayat hotel fita.....am so glad to have found it!
I was taking my mom for her firt trip to europe and am so glad that hotel fita in amsterdam was a perfect start. It was easy to get to from the station by tram as per the instructions given on their website. The owners were very welcoming, attentive and friendly. We were promptly shown to our large double room which was very well equipped with a coffee machine, ironing board, safe, umbrella, enough cosy furntiure and a lovely small balcony. The bath tub was great to soak in, particularly since we found amsterdam very cold at 9 degrees celsius, about 20 degrees less than the average we are used to! The entire property was very clean and welcoming. A computer is available for use in the basement. Breakfast was hearty and the pesonal touch added by encouraging us to have freshly made pancakes was delightful! It was with tremendous regret that we checked out after only one night as we had train tickets booked for further travel. Wish we could have stayed longer. Hope to be back sometime soon!
