Located on a relatively quiet canalside in a leafy and beautiful area. Decent hotel for the price, We had two single rooms with a shared bathroom, perfect for me and adult daughter. Clean, small but fine. We ate breakfast at the bagel shop at the end of the street, 1/3rd the price of the hotel breakfast. Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful - cases left in the luggage room on the last day. Pretty shady garden at the rear. BEWARE the biting insects [canal based]. The rooms would have been too hot with the windows shut but let some variety of biting insects in if open. There is some night time noise on the canalside - returning revellers, the noise made worse by something of an empty area echo. Not too bad and I suspect it is much worse the closer you are to the centre. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the garden at the back might be quieter, but the views of the canal at the front a...

Hampshire Inn hotel is on a quiet, canal-side street in Amsterdam, close to the city centre but just far enough away from the noise and bustle. Our room had two huge windows with a great view of the canal. The room wasn't very big, but it was comfortable enough for the two of us. The hotel has a decent breakfast but it isn't included in the price of the room. We very much enjoyed our stay here and found the staff pleasant and helpful. There was no a/c in the room, so it got quite hot one night. A large fan was provided which was helpful.

We were looking for a 2 day stay to finish off our cruise holiday . Nervous about using easytobook for the first time but need not have worried. Hotel was what it said it was. Staff could not have been more helpful, excellent central location withing easy walking of all the sites and restaurants . Pretty traditional building and relatively quiet canal location . Superior room large with good views and comfortable bed. Rooms in Amsterdam all seem to be very expensive and this was no exception . Would return again in spite of cost !

Recently stayed at this hotel for one night.
Friendly staff, but extremely friendly mosquitos in my room, they couldnt wait to get a taste of me.
Suffice to say not much sleep trying to fend them off.
Was not told about the mosquito spray at reception... Would have been nice to know in advance.

We just came back after staying in this nice small hotel 4 nights. The location is great, staff is helpful, room was big enough for two adults and two small children ages 4&7 . We allow suffered from a mosquito attack and the bathroom needs a bit of fixing plus it could be a bit more clean.I will recommend this hotel as we only came back to the room vary late and used the room only for sleeping, you will find a super market and bagel store around the corner

Room Tip: Try the reserant near the hotel de fles I think it is very good

Thank you for your stay in our Hotel. Hopefully we can welcome you again as our guest an make your holliday as pleassant as the last one. We will try to keep the musquito's away but the room is on the canal side and with the beautifull wheater it can happen that some musquitos are in your room. At the reception we have a special spray for it so next time you can use it.

with kindest regards, and till next time.
