We stayed five nights in Garden Room 5 June 30-July 5. The room was charming , spacious and quiet. Gunther and Eric were most gracious and helpful. (Pierre was on vacation.) Breakfast was delicious and bountiful. The location of the hotel was convenient to museums, restaurants and a laundramat. The immediate neighborhood was scenic. The food at the Italian restaurant was excellent. A great experience.

We stayed four nights in room 9. The stairs are steep, but for us it was just part of the experience. The room was extremely clean and the bath was larger than we expected. The room has exposed beams and a view of the canal. The decor is cozy...we loved the leather club chair! We were able to peak at several of the other rooms and each had their own perks. However, room 9 at this hotel will be our Amsterdam 'home' when we travel back to the city.

we stayed in the seven bridges in june 2013, and absolutely loved this hotel so much so we are planning a trip back in november and hope to stay here again
pierre the host was so helpful we arrived really early and our room wasn't ready yet so he offered us an option of another room which would be ready straight away. we took this room and lucky we did it was on the ground floor which normally is not an issue but in amsterdam all the hotels have really steep stairs which would have been a bit annoying to drag our bags and ourselves up.
the hotel rooms are decorated with antique furniture which was gorgeous, the hotel is located right outside the city centre which makes it about a 5 min walk (if even that ) so its a perfect distance from the hussle and bussle but close enough if you wanna walk in
i would advise anyone who is staying her to try the train from the airport instead of a cab to save you approx €50. (the train is so easy too)
overall great trip cant' wait to go back and would reccommend the seven bridges to everyone
oh and the memory foam mattresses in every room is a lovely touch after a long day of walking the streets of amsterdam

Room Tip: when booking you can choose which room you would like to stay in so visit the website first and sele...

I stayed five nights in this hotel and enjoyed every moment. The hotel is right on a canal in a wonderful, walkable neighborhood of traditional houses. I stayed in room #6 which is full of antique furniture, yet comfortable and cozy. The room is a good size for one or two people, with a seating area, small refrigerator tucked into an antique cabinet, all the necessary amenities. Despite the fact that this is an older building, the room is very well maintained and there is little noise from the outside or neighboring hotel rooms. Double windows keep out street noise very effectively. I hit a rainy patch and spent quite a bit of time in the hotel and found it to be a perfect place to relax, read, and watch the goings-on along the canal. On a quiet canal street, this hotel is very close to a number of restaurants and shops and a less-than-5 minute walk to Rembrandtplein sqaure. A gem of a hotel in an ideal location.

Room Tip: Room #6 is beautiful and colorful, with a great view of the canal. I also saw the garden room, which...

We just spent a perfect week in Amsterdam staying at the Seven Bridges Hotel. The room was just lovely and very comfortable with a fabulous view of the canal and gabled houses across the way. We could not have been happier with our accommodation: the hosts were very helpful when needed, but we were otherwise left to our own devices. The location of this hotel can't be beat!

We stayed for 5 nights in May in canal view room 7, looking out onto the canals and blossoming trees which was beautiful. Two flights of narrow stairs was not so bad, the furnishings lovely, the staff very helpful, even booked us into a restaurant for dinner on the first night while we found our bearings. The position is excellent, much nicer away from the Central station touristy area. We walked everywhere, nothing was too far and there were fabulous eateries close by, particularly the Tia Rosa Tapas restaurant only a few houses away. Thoroughly recommended as a place to stay!

Room Tip: Canal room for the view.

We just returned from 5 fabulous nights in Amsterdam, and have found a new home base at Seven Bridges Hotel. Located in a quiet upscale neighborhood just a few minutes walk from fabulous restaurants and cafes, with gorgeous views down the Reguliersgracht seven bridge canal, it could not be more perfect. Waking up in the morning to singing birds, watching the locals get their cats and dogs and kids ready for the day, and having coffee in the sun on their front porch benches, while we splurged to add the optional hotel breakfast of juice, wonderful coffee and warm fresh pastries and fresh fruit could not be more perfect. We are ready to call Amsterdam home and move in with Pierre, Guenter, and the wonderful staff at Seven Bridges. Canal Room 6 in the front has killer views sitting over the canal, and there are quieter garden rooms available if the activity of bicycles getting locals off to morning school and work is too much for you.

We have stayed in city hotels around the world, and this was one of the most relaxing and comfortable city stays we have ever had. It is a great base to explore the entire city, with everything you need in walking distance, and anything accessible by trams and metros within a couple blocks. Avoid the noise and crowds of the tourist areas, and live like a local in this wonderful city, but have all of the action and excitement of the city in easy reach.

Thank you again Seven Bridges, and we can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Be ready to walk up the narrow circular stairs that are part of EVERY 18th century canal house, so d...
