Great location!!! Authentic hotel with small and narrow rooms - but you will spend most of the time outside anyway. Good price for Amsterdam! Very very friendly people. I would come back any time. Great value

you can't ask for a much better location in Amsterdam. In the heart of the action, yet far enough from the Red Light District if you don't want to venture into it. Several steeps stairs add to the charm, but I would definitely cross it off the list for elderly or those with bad knees. The room was small but relatively clean. The all in one shower/bathroom is a bit odd by North American standards. Ours was especially small, which was a bit of a pain, but not terrible. Very friendly staff and nice breakfast to start the day. Only steps away from Anne Frank House.

We stayed at this location one night. Hotel is conveniently located but if you are driving than good luck. Hotel staff at night is not at all helpful and if you are new in this area than you will need some time to understand how it all works in Amsterdam. Room and Restroom are so small that you will have real problem adjusting. It's hard to even fit one suitcase and close the main door. Good for single friends or couple but not good for families...

We chose this hotel because of the good location, and it included breakfast and most importantly because it was one of the cheapest options in the area.

Our room was TINY. There is no where to put the suitcases but leave them upright by the door. We only slept in there so the size was only a problem when we needed to open the suitcases because there is just no where to lie them flat other than on the bed (one at a time). We didn't get hung up on this because of the low cost of the room.

Upon arrival a man helped us bring the suitcases to our room (lots of steep, narrow stairs). The man at the front desk gave us free drinks and lots of maps, travel guides, etc which were extremely helpful. The service is excellent at this hotel.

The breakfast area is small but you can always get a table. Breakfast items included a loaf cake, croissants, yogurt, cheese and white and brown bread. There is coffee and tea and orange juice. I'm not certain but I think the coffee stays there all day and they replenish it as it runs out so if you want a coffee in the afternoon you can help yourself.

The only issue we had was the noise from the church bells that runs every 15 minutes all day and night. It made sleep very difficult. That and there is no AC in the rooms.

It's a short walk to Dam Square and RLD. Anne Frank House is pretty much just across the canal, very close. If you plan to go there make sure you buy your tickets online! We got an 8:40am slot and when we arrived at 8:30 the line was already down the block and around the corner (it opens at 9). We were so happy we got to just walk right in!

I would definitely stay here again if I got a room away from the church bells.

We stayed here for two nights to celebrate hubby's 50th birthday. We'd booked a room with balcony (412) and there were flowers waiting which was a lovely touch. The room was teeny but had everything we needed, the balcony looked over the main road and we could see the canal, Westerkirk and Homomonument.

Breakfast was fine - the biggest, fluffiest croissants I've ever seen and the staff friendly and helpful. Oxygen was almost needed as we reached our room but overall, this hotel is perfectly situated - and is right opposite one of the hop-on hop-off bus stops.

One tip - if you want to go to Anne Frank's house (and it's good to read the book first but not essential) book online before you go. The queue (also visible from our room) stretched right round the Westerkirk and was slow moving. We'd booked a time online and went straight in.

Thanks to all at the Nadia Hotel.

This little hotel was in a gem of a location for getting the vibe and sights of the real Amsterdam. It was close to the canals, Ann Frank museum and a relaxed walking distance to many restaurants, cafes, trams, red light district and railway station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and tidy, and we had an excellent street view from our balcony. When you arrive and ring the door bell ,the staff come down and carry your bags up the very steep flight of stairs, same again when you depart. I would definitely stay at Hotel Nadia again.
