I've just booked the Nadia for the 4th time, efficient booking, for best price always go direct to the hotel. If you want cheap, clean, central and a fridge (i need coffee with fresh milk!) and are ok with basic, the nadia is perfect. I am going for easter and am pleased to see that all reviews are still good. I was so confident that I didn't even check them before I booked!!

Very much enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Nadia! We booked online after reading the Tripadvisor reviews and loved every minute. When you walk in you are faced with a flight of typically Dutch steep stairs, a great introduction to the Dutch culture. Reception staff were very friendly and gave us a map along with general information about Amsterdam. A nice touch was the hotel business card with a map on the back to put in our wallet in case we got lost... which we did! On arrival to your room you get a lovely vase of fresh flowers. Ok, the rooms are small but do we honestly expect large rooms in a typical Dutch building? It all adds to the experience. We had a balcony room on the top floor with great views of the street and canal. The Anne Frank house is only a couple of minutes away and Amsterdam's other attractions only 10 minutes by foot. All in all a great stay and we'll be back for sure!

Room Tip: Top floors for agile persons as there about 72 very steep stairs on three flights to the top.

I really loved staying here. It's in a perfect spot and has a great local feel. To get to the reception and some rooms requires climbing dauntingly steep stairs. Our room (the last remaining in the hotel) barely fit two twin beds and the bathroom was little bigger than a postage stamp. The size didn't bother us though--everything was clean and perfectly laid out with lots of outlets, shelves etc. One complaint--the lighting was a little too dim. It couldn't be in a more perfect location, on the tram, near a canal boat stop, walking distance from the center of the city and numerous museums and surrounding by great restaurants.

This is not a luxury hotel but, then, you are also not paying luxury prices. I would stay here again in a heartbeat but, due to the stairs, I wouldn't recommend it for parents with toddlers or for anyone with walking trouble.

The location was good close to a tram stop, or an easy 10 min walk to the central train station. Yes, the stairs are very steep but they do carry your bags to and from your rooms. We found the breakfast variety limited. A toaster would be a much needed addition as well as a greater variety of fresh fruit. The fresh flowers in the room are a nice touch.

We stayed at hotel nadia in nov 2013. It was out first wedding anniversary. The staff were amazing. The hotel was very well located in amsterdam. Our room was upgraded to a canal view room free of charge because the staff discovered we were on an aniversay trip. The breakfast was nice. The hiyel is small and they make great use of the space. I will definatly stay there again. ..... yes the stairs are steep the staff help with checkin and offered us a drink on arrival. The stairs are not that hard to go up but they are very steep. Cant recommend enough.
