We were walking back to our hotel (in the rain!) from our visit to the Museum area of Amsterdam, and as we had passed this little corner shop on the way, I'd hoped that we would walk past it again, as we were a bit hungry and it was damp and a bit cold. To my pleasant surprise, we did manage to find the shop again, and we stopped for what turned out to be a cup of fabulous lentil soup, just one of several available that day. This is essentially a take-out place with no seating inside and only a small bench outside. But despite the rain and no seating, it was a very delicious and welcome meal, indeed. The soups are available in several sizes, and accompanying our smaller sized portions (one for each of us) were chunks of multi grain bread. This is a wonderful little place if you don't mind having a stand-up meal--or one you can take back to the hotel.
