Stayed here last week to celebrate my birthday. When I mentioned this in the reservation I found a lovely card in room wishing me a happy birtday. The hotel is very close to all the main sights and there is no need to take public transport when out and about. Dam is 5 minute walk as all the other main sights. We really had a nice room in a maritime style. They also have scandinavian style rooms that I personally prefer but we had everything in the room what we wanted and the beds are sooo comfortable, there is even a pillow menu. The first night we had drinks in the bar downstairs. Very cosy and old gentlemens club style. Good cocktails too. My friend was looking for a shop in the city centre and the bartender who overheard us offered him to look it up on the front desk. I mean wow what a service. Afterwards we went for dinner in the Palmboom restaurant. Really nice menu with food for everyone. Nice healthy dishes with honest products as also some alltime favorites and classics for those who prefer this. The service in this hotel is one of the best hotel experiences I had so far. All staff members were really friendly and helped with all we needed. Specially Nicky from the restaurant, she was amazing gave us really good tips on restaurants ( Indrapura on Rembrandtplein eg.) and bars....Stayed here last week to celebrate my birthday.
