“Exceptional location but rooms ( not business class) are not so nice like in the ads!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

The normal rooms are not so big and looks far nicer than in the promotional photos, there are pretty basic, the bathroom are so small, without so much light and is not according to the price.
I had to upgrade to Business class rooms to receive what I expected from this hotel. Business class rooms are at the top with very beautiful view of the city and the furniture
The breakfast is very good. Excellent staff.

Room Tip: Choose business class rooms, it worth the price.

This is a great hotel in a good location only a couple of cannals away from the center.
We checked in early and there was no issues! In our room we got the king size bed we requested, and it was massive- never seen a bed so big!! We also received complimentary slippers and other little bits. The room was very clean and we had a great view of a seating area out of the window on the first floor.
Located only short walk to dam square, past our favourite cake shop every morning! We didn't get to eat in the restarant but it did seem popular.
Would like to come back here but for longer. When we went there was a fair in dam square- which had been there over half term and school holidays.
Make sure you are aware that amsterdam hotels have a city tax per night and you will be fine!!

Room Tip: Request a king size bed!!!

Great location but the hotel definitely needs sprucing up. The interior of the building we were staying in - the one with the atrium - is pretty uninspiring and looks far nicer in the photos.
Rooms not bad size but again, pretty basic and not really worth the room price.
Breakfast was good though and staff helpful and nice.
So location-wise - this is perfect but value for money and feeling like you are in a decent 4 star hotel - it's well below par I'm afraid.

We would highly recommend this hotel. The location is perferct. The hotel is on a quiet street, but close to all the action. We were in a business class room and it was beautiful. Brand new with all the amenities. We even had a small balcony. Nice size room, especially for European standards. The staff were very helpful. The conciege recommended great restaurants for us. He was also a big help when we had to get new flights due to the hurricane at home. We loved the hotel bar! Also, very affordable!!!

Room Tip: If you can upgrade to a business class room, do it!!!
