“Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel”

Excellent hotel, 5 minutes from Central Station, in walking distance to all the sites of Amsterdam. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived approx 4 hours before check in time but were given our room keys there and then. The room keys are also used to operate the elevators to the upper floors, an excellent security feature. The room was large and clean throughout. Queensize bed, plenty of pillows, clean crisp sheets, very comfy. Tea/coffee making facilities and in room safe provided. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choices and enough to keep you going all day. Would definately stay there again!

We stayed here on a layover, and loved it. The location is great, very central for seeing the sights. We were very jet lagged, and the hotel allowed us to do an early check in and a late check out. It was perfect for catching up on sleep, as the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was great as well. The room is a little small, and there is no bathtub, just a shower, but that's fairly standard for European hotels downtown. All in all, had a great stay here, very comfortable. Would definitely stay again when passing through Amsterdam.

The hotel is a five minute walk to the central train station, and it is an easy walk to most other places in Amsterdam. There are plenty of great restaurants in the immediate area. The staff is super, couldn't be more helpful. A standard room is small and without a bath. The shower was fine, but leaked out the glass side onto the floor. The keys are the main problem. They don't always work the first time or the third, and they are needed for the elevator and fitness room, as well as for the hotel room.

We stayed at the hotel in January 2013. The hotel has a great location 10 minutes away from the Central Station. Staff are very nice and helpful. Rooms are clean although somewhat small. The executive lounge was spacious, but the food selection during the day time is limited. We enjoyed the breakfast. The only thing that we did not like is that it was quite chilly at this hotel - both in rooms and hallways.
Overall we liked our stay and would recommend the hotel to our friends.

Stayed here for 2 nights recently. The hotel is across the road from central station, about 5 minutes walk. It is an american chain and this is apparent throughout the hotel. Our double room was spacious, the queen bed was so comfortable. In room safe provided, also tea making facilities. However they had forgotten to leave out some milk on 2 occasions. We were on 6th floor and had a street view as this is what I had requested when booking. We did hear quite a lot of the street noise even though the window was double glazed. This was most noticeable early in the morning when deliveries were being done and also trams with their bells ringing could clearly be heard. Lovely bathroom, lots of hot water, hairdryer inc. Room was cleaned on both days and fresh towels left. Check in and out went smoothly. Breakfast was included in our rate and was very good. They have everything you could want and it is all fresh. Staff pleasant.

Room Tip: We requested a mid floor room. Probably best to avoid street view as it can be noisy. Rooms in main...

Just got back from a 4-night holiday in Amsterdam.
Location: Conveniently located close to Central Station, The Red Light District, supermarket (Albert Heijn), restaurants, coffee shops, sureface line, Dam Square, etc. etc.
Staff: AMAZING!!
The concierge desk (Ben, Ahmed and a few others) were extremely helpful & knowledgeable with restaurant recommendations and reservations, car rentals and every bit of info we needed during our stay.
Everyone (Front Desk, Bellman, housekeeping) were so helpful, cheerful and seem to be genuinely happy to be there. They were truly wonderful. They made our stay very memorable.
Restaurant: The casual burger/sandwich restaurant wasn't as good as Scossa restaurant. The breakfast buffet at Scossa had tons of selections, worth the euro spent. Food was also delicious.
The rooms: Spacious and clean, had all the amenities one would need while away on either business or vacation.
The only slight negative comment is the internet access in the room. It was at turtle speed although while in the lobby or the lounge, the connection was much faster.
I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: ask for rooms facing front. there are rooms that face inside which doesnt really have a view other t...
