This is what you will expect in a city centre Marriott. very comfortable beds, clean rooms, modern bathrooms and contemporary furnishing. The only slight negative is that the water pressure is a bit low so showers aren't very invigorating. It is well located to walk to the museums and the many restaurants located across the bridge in the Leidseplein. The main restaurant is a steakhouse - very nice but a bit pricey. A couple of appetisers will fill the less hungry just fine for about €25. Steaks if I recall correctly are €30 to €40 with premium cuts / big sizes up to €60.
If you have access to the Executive Lounge, they have a nice selection of foods with wine and beer. A nice thing about the food is that if you stay often or multiple days, the selection does change so it doesn't get boring.
