Didnt really know where to stay in Amsterdam but managed to get round in the 2 days from this hotel. Nightlife choices and shops within 2 mins superb, with canal tours and tram stops just outside. Took us 10 mins to get there from Central station on no 1 tram. (Just be careful to get off the right door or you may end up travelling without your companions for a stop!!). The rain was torrential but reception staff gave us an umbrella. Checkout was 12 and we could still leave our luggage until later. Large room for the 3 of us and comfortable beds pillows and covers. Will stay again if price is as good as we paid.

The location of this great hotel is perfect - on the corner where the tram stops. This made going to and from the airport very easy. It is just a couple blocks from the museum district and within walking distance of the major sights. Room 206 (3rd floor by American counting) faces the Prinsengracht canal and is around the corner from the tramline so it was relatively quiet. Be prepared to hear late-night revelers singing at the top of the lungs in the wee hours of the morning! The room was very comfortable and clean with windows that opened! The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. There is an elevator.

Good location, the room was big, ok cleaning/clean room. Two large windows, unfortunatly facing a wall, so I kept the curtains closed for the whole three days I was staying there. Not very cosy. The bathtub was a little bit discolored (gross). Ok minibar. I brought some people up to my room and the reseptionist looked rather sour, same look all day/night, kinda uncomfortable. The employees on the last day was nicer though, they even forgot to charge my card for the minibar.

Nice hotel with excellent location near the museums and Leidseplein. Nice rooms with view on the canals. Very friendly personal, that even offered me a cup of coffee while waiting for the taxi to arrive

Room Tip: frontside rooms are the best

There are so many hotels in Amsterdam to choose from. When making my selection I consulted Trip Advisor reviews. I am glad I did. This is a great place to stay, so centrally located. Our room was on the corner and had a bay window with 2 other large windows overlooking the canal and a very interesting side street. The room was huge and nicely furnished, very comfortable. My sister who was traveling with us also had a room overlooking the canal, that was smaller, but even more charming than ours. The breakfast was very nice, with a great coffee machine.
This hotel is so well located that we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. In one direction were the museums and in the other all the central canals and squares, etc. We did a lot of walking, and made a lot of cafe and beer stops. This is a great city for walking. The only problem is dodging the bicycles.
We were driving so parking was a concern for us. There is a parking garage 2 blocks away (quite expensive @ 40 Euros a days), but was very convenient and the car easily accessible.

Room Tip: get a room overlooking the canal.
