“An exquisite and wonderful birthday stay. memories made.”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

Went here courtesy of two very generous friends staying for one night. All I can say is wow!!! The hotel looks nothing from the outside but inside is beautiful. Chandeliers, lovely lobby, free coffee machine and sweets on tap, try the mint abd Raspberry waters at the bar. free and delicious!

The rooms are tastefully and elegantly decorated. We had a four poster superior room. Good shower and English channels on tv. Bed is huge and incredibly comfy.

Location is perfect, right on the canal right between the restaurant quarter and the centre. n literally 3 minutes walk from dam Square.

The breakfast is 18 euros but worth every penny. eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal, cakes, pastries, cheese, Parma Ham, selection of bread. there's so much choice and all washed shewn with great coffee and prosecco. Yes, you can help yourself to as much bubbly As you can take at 10am!

All in all a truly wonderful birthday treat.

We had just returned from two nights.
When we arrived early in the morning, we did not believe but we got the rooms.
The crew was so polite and determined to help.
the spacious rooms are decorated simply charming and exceptionally clean and very high level.
Unlike many previous reviews we expected a little noise from other rooms or corridors, but fortunately we have not encountered this phenomenon at all.
Cozy lobby with a great design and a relaxing romantic atmosphere.
Best coffee maker in all of Amsterdam in our opinion.
Hotel location, in the city center but not on a main road and is close to all major points of interest.
Must return in the future and sure will recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: take the bigger rooms, they are enough spacious

A great find. Nice staff, lovely public rooms, great location. We had a four poster bed overlooking the canal and it was divine. The bar has to be seen to be believed. somewhere between good taste and kitsch.... Recommended!

I've stayed in many hotels in Amsterdam and this one is definitely best value for money hotel. Excellent location, clean rooms, friendly staff. A 18 EURO-per-person breakfast is a bit expensive, but compared to breakfasts in restaurants in a city center it's worth it. A room is a bit small, and the view from the window was on the another hotel room, but I guess, that more expensive rooms have better views.

A pleasent friendly hotel serves a great breakfast. They don't have a restaurant for dinner but there are plenty of little places within a few hundred yards and the rececption desk was able to offer good advice and book for you.

Just short walk from the main train station and 5 minute walk to Dam Square or Anne Franks house

Free coffee, tea and biscuits all day in reception.

Room Tip: Room 110 is a good size, overlooking the canal
