“Exceptional Service”

The Toren was our last stop on a 2.5 week journey through Europe. The staff at the Toren took care of every detail, including booking a room appropriate for our family of four, recommending numerous restaurants nearby that would accommodate my daughter's gluten allergy, and then making reservations. The room was large, luxurious, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was also fantastic & they provided gluten free bread for my daughter as well. The hotel is very conveniently located around the corner from the Anne Frank Huis and lots of shops and restaurants. We were very pleased and look forward to returning!

The Toren has both the charms and quirks of a boutique hotel. The decor is modern and stylish, with all the in-room amenities - quality bath products, a whirlpool, in-room coffeemaker with premium coffees, lighting with various adjustments, etc. But when I entered my smallish room, to get to the bed area you had to walk by the tub, which was open to the room except for a curtain. That said, it was a very nice hotel. The bed was comfortable, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the bar was well-stocked and open all day, the breakfast was copious and there is a charming garden where you can relax and have a drink. And not all that expensive! A good choice in a a central location in a former canal house on one of the pretty canals, within walking distance to the Ann Frank House, the main square, several churches, a number of good restaurants, and shopping districts. Nearby trams take you to the museums.

Stayed for three nights in a canal side room, beautiful views, and great room. The staff was very helpful. It was my first trip to Amsterdam and traveling with my twelve year old daughter and they made us feel very welcome and contributed greatly to our wonderful first visit to Amsterdam.

Right on a canal, close to the city center, what more could you want? Good customer service. This hotel has EXCELLENT customer service. From answering questions, giving directions, food service and handling an article left behind, the staff here was superb. The owners themselves got involved in locating my lost item! Couldn't ask for anything more. The smallest room, was plenty big for a solo traveler and was furnished beautifully, not like a college dorm room. Comfy full size bed with red velvet cover, lots of pillows, a refrigerator and flat screen. Still suffering from jet lag, I spent a lot more time there than expected but what a pleasant place to spend it in. I highly recommend The Toren. Make sure you take advantage of the tripadvisor discount just by letting them know you are a member. Please also see my reviews on WWII TOUR and RED LIGHT DISTRICT TOUR.

A clean, decent sized room centrally located in a quiet street on a canal! What makes this hotel wonderful is the staff - all super friendly and mega helpful - they totally sorted us out with maps, directions and dinner reservations at fabulous restaurents. All done with a smile and great attitude.

Everything else like the design, the delicious breakfast, fast & hassle free wifi is just how it should be but so rarely is.

Would definitely recommend and will certainly go back.

Spent four nights at The Toren during the first week in August. The staff went out of there way to be helpful. Our flight arrived early and they let us check in. Perfect location on the canal. Had a room that faced the canal on the first floor of the house a few doors down from the main house. The bathroom was luxurious with a walk in shower and whirlpool tub. The breakfast was good. Will stay here again.

Room Tip: Liked the canal view room. Slept well. Not bothered by street noise.

We had just had the best stay possible in Amsterdam - this hotel is a gem! You couldn't find a nicer hotel with staff to match. The rooms are a bit on the small size, but you could eat your food off the floor! The bedlinen is as white as snow and starched to perfection. They have a lovely little bar and breakfast room and the actual location is spot on. It is by one of the canals (naturally) and only 5-10 minutes walk away from the hustle and bustle of all the bars and the redlight district! We can't recommend it enough - go and experience it for yourselves
