We booked via Expedia & paid approx £60.00 per night for a double room.
Hotel is a bit dated but the rooms are clean, nicely decorated.
The bathrooms were a little old but everything worked, plenty of instant hot water.
Location is so good, right by the Singl Flower market, walking distance from everywhere.

Not sure if we stayed in a standard room but it was huge - a bedroom with an adjoining lounge - and well situated for the centre of Amsterdam close to Rembrandt Square. Staff were very friendly and helpful advising us of the best places nearby for food and drink. The hotel is showing its age and could do with a facelift but was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was in the Caruso Room with a huge selection of food to choose from. The coffee shops close by serve some very strange muffins so take care :-)

Room Tip: Ask for the big one that we got.

The hotel location is close to everything , Rembrandt square, dam square, shopping and park.
Room and bathroom are decent, clean and neat. Not a fancy hotel , a place to sleep and central location. Staffs are friendly and helpful.
Tips. Room facing the front is noisy in busy street but good view. If u are light sleeper request the back room. Also have a safe to lock your valuable at the front desk no charge.
Don't buy breakfast from hotel cost $20 bucks and u need to get up early to get the most.
Many local cafe along the street, we eat at studio 21 on flower market which is next to the hotel by the canal. Great food good price. Further down u will find Starbucks .
If u plan a tour, book them as soon as u get there. Some tour like to Belgium only 2 times a week and sold out fast. Other local tour is not a problem last minute.
Wifi is great in room for email not for big file downloading.
If u take a train from airport only $3 bucks and is a 10 minutes walk to hotel or $10 for a taxi if u got alot luggages.
Also hotel have airport shuttle cost $16.50 euro each person . Check the rate for taxi if u got 4 persons is cheaper.
Prices for drinks and good almost the same everywhere . A block from the flower market there is a food market by the tourist shopping street where you can stock some water n food and walk back to hotel. There is small fridge in the room.

Booked NH Carlton thru Hotwire, so not sure what you are getting till you get it. Most of the reviews are quite accurate. It is a little run down, however, the rooms themselves are relatively quiet and staff helpful. We were here for two nights before leaving on a River Cruise on the Rhine. It is a good location for exploring, and really, given how much time you spend in your room it was acceptable. Stay again? Wouldn't rule it out but might be tempted to try somewhere else.
Didn't try the breakfast, but can recommend finding LaPlace, just a block or so away. Had a very acceptable breakfast with lots of choices for a fraction of the cost.

Brilliant location with just a 5 min tram ride from the station.
We found the hotel to be very pleasant. Staff were friendly and efficient. We chose a smoking room (rare to find),The room was very clean but also very standard with no view.
Not a problem for us.. We only slept in it!
Breakfast €15 if you booked at reception which was a typical buffet style Dutch breakfast in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

In need of some tlc but still a very nice hotel.
