My 24-year-old nephew and I stayed at this property in late May 2013. We could not have been more pleased. The hotel is modern and attractive. The sleeping rooms have all of the amenites, including ironing boards. One can eat in either a restaurant or in a "grab and go" snack area. The staff was very attentive. The concierge had coveted tickets to the Van Gogh Museum, which allowed us to bypass the customary long lines. The curbside attendant always had a smile and was ready to offer suggestions concerning taxis and trams.
The hotel is not in the center of the city, which is a blessing. It is situated on a canal in a residential area. We would go downtown and experience the noise, night life, and crowded streets and then retreat to the hotel for peace and quiet. A tram line is an easy 5-minute walk away. We paid a total of 5.6 euros each way for tram tickets. The museum area--the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh--can be reached after a 15-minute walk through pleasant and (apparently) safe streets.
We appreciated the free Wifi in public areas of the hotel.
I intend to stay here again on future trips.More
