This tiny toko opposite the Stopera and one of the Waterlooplein tube exits has been there for years. Locals often visit.
Go here for a sandwich or meal. Open 'till about 7/8ish pm (when the food is finished i think). Most people take away, but you can eat there as well (plastic cutlery probably)
This small toko has Surinam food. A plus is the food itself, good spices, great choice, quick... and very clean.
Negatives: when you buy a meal (meal or 'lunchbox') you can choose so many vegetables and meats/fish. You can't order, say, one portion of bali chicken and a portion of moksi meti. They don't do that.
Tip: I often order the lunchbox for dinner, because it is plenty to go by. It costs 5,50 euros and contains bami/nasi/etc and one veg + 1 meat/fish. The bali chicken is great, so is the curry chicken.
