Description: A family owned bistro where we serve nice dishes with a good quality - price relation in a friendly atmosphere. We serve here the "worldfamous" (anyway in Amsterdam) Sticky Toffee Pie and home-made Limoncello.

The day before we visited Vlaming, we had gone to Samhoud Places (by a 2 Michelin Star chef) and the day after Vlaming we went to Ron Blaauw (formerly a 2 michelin star restaurant).

Vlaming restaurant was our favourite!

The hospitality was amazing, they were aware that our trip was for our 30th Birthday and they presented us with Prosecco and a Cake afterwards!

I had a beautifully seasoned and perfectly cooked Steak and all of the other courses were as tasty and offered great value.

We were not aware of too many other English couples in here and the atmosphere was friendly and there was a sense of community rather than of tourists, which was appealing to us.

It is 15 minutes away from the centre of amsterdam but its a lovely walk into a local neighbourhood and authentic Amsterdam.

I would consider this a must visit restaurant.

We managed to get a reservation here when the sister restaurant Vlaming Brasserie nearby was unable to accomodate us for a second visit.
We had booked (wise decision) as when we arrived, the restaurant was full and buzzing! Once again the staff were extremely pleasant and attentive throughout. The menu is quite similar at both restaurants, but I was more than pleased as I would have eaten the exact same as my visit to the sister restaurant. The food was superb! The fillet steak cooked to perfection!. Now the pudding to die for...... It is called Sticky toffee pie, but it is not. It is sticky toffee pudding with loads of sauce. OMG! EXQUISITE!!! Service was again slick and efficient. Well done to all the staff!

We wanted to try the Sticky Toffee Pie and it was superb. A warm caramel sheet of glaze draped a piece of moist cake. Yes, cake. Yhe dessert was topped with hot almond slivers. It was simply wonderful and melted like butter in my mouth. Service was firt rate and the restaurant is a softly lit, inviting place. We will certainly visit again when in Amsterdam.

The atmosphere and service in here is great as it's so friendly and small. I was so tired the first night we got there so we called up and rearranged for the next night and they were absolutely fine about it and booked us in for the next day!

The menu isn't big but there's something you're bound to love. We had the tuna steaks which were in soy sauce with sesame seeds which were tender and lovely. I tried the sticky toffee pie and creme brulee for pudding; both which were incredibly yummy.

For 2 mains adn 2 desserts with a bottle of wine, it came to 80 euros, so if you're looking for a luxurious meal at a cute family owned restaurant then defo come here, it's lovely!
