“Old world charm!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013

Lanskroon is one of those cozy and lovely place that once you step in, everything feels so right. It's a lovely tearoom with only a few seats inside. It definitely reminds me of days before all the big coffee chains overrun a city.

This is a great spot to break for tea (or breakfast) after touring or walking round the city, and being just a couple of minutes walk from Singel (and the flower market), it isn't difficult to find. The stroopwafels (made by hand) is highly recommended, likewise for the desserts, cakes and ice cream (especially on a hot day). This is really one of those little gems hidden in the city.

“Old fashioned good quality”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2013

Over 30 years ago my parents already went to this baker to buy their sirup waffle (stroopkoeken). They are the best you can find anywhere in the Netherlands. I still always go back for their excellent baking and bring some for friends, since everybody loves it. In the shop you can also drink something and their coffee is excellent. I hope I will be able go back there for the coming 30 years also!

“Scrumptious coffee and croissants”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2013

This place may be known for its stroopwaffel, but come for the croissants! We happened onto it after we couldn't get into Gartine. As long as you don't mind squeezing into one of the tiny tables, you can enjoy a great breakfast, or skip the wait and get it all to go.

“Fantastic fresh cakes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

We dropped in here one morning for breakfast, it only has a few tables and there were plenty of customers both locals and visitors. The ladies behind the counter were very cheerful and served very good coffee and delicious pastries. I had a muesli and apple turnover which was excellent and there are also savoury pastries available. Nice friendly atmosphere in here with all the customers chatting to each other. Great place for a breakfast or a snack and in a quiet quarter just off the main streets. Definitely recommend it; wish they'd open one near home!

“Best Stroopwafels in Amsterdam”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

This is a great spot for breakfast or an afternoon treat. Delicious pastrys (apple turnover with muesli was a standout), beautiful cakes and pies. They still make stroopwafels by hand - not those stamped out ones you find everywhere. It is worth a special trip to try these! Great, friendly service, too. Ah yes, and great hot chocolate as well as fresh squeezed oj.
