Although we are very happy to live in Berlin it has become a kind of tradition for us to visit another import European city in the weekend around 1 May. It is always good to get a mirror to your own city. This year we definetely wanted to visit Amsterdam again after more than 15 years. We remembered us the beautiful, stately neighbourhood around the Vondelpark and looked into the internet for a nice, quiet Bed & Breakfast within this surrounding. Our eyes were catched by a stylish website of the brandnew Prince Henry Bed & Breakfast. We booked the twinroom behind provided with a beautiful quiet garden with 'ameublement', which we were happy being able to exploit profoundly because of the Mediterranean weather in Amsterdam that weekend. It was with pleasure that we took the opportunity of making our own (very good!) espresso coffee. Our visit started with a warm welcome by the host, who revealed himself as a great knower of his quarter and the cultural life in Amsterdam and our visit ended with a lively talk about really good wines!
The room is very elegantly and tastefully furnished with characteristic art deco furniture.
The large and luxury bathroom, fitted with all modern conveniences, did complete the feeling of being one weekend the proud owner of a splendid 'Wohnung' in Amsterdam.
Highly to be recommended!!

This week I stayed in a gorgeous room with a private garden in Prince Henry, Amsterdam. The weather was so beautiful: I had friends over and we shared a bottle of delicious white wine on my private terrace.
The room is really large and very quiet with a table large enough for your laptop and papers, so I have been able to work there as well. (free wifi).
The atmosphere of the room breathes quality and personality: true paintings on the wall (quite exceptional in a hotel room) and very nice bedcovers on the more than comfortable bed. The bathroom is splendid and the breakfast delicious. I will definetely come back here.
