Not too long ago I decided to try Langendijk for the first time after it opened some years ago. Well, I tried lunch and diner and got disappointed in both. A nice lunch-size sandwich was too muchh for the chef. The diner was quite a disaster with the meat badly cooked, but that did not really matter anymore since the quality of the beef was way below any level of expectation. Meanwhile it was perfectly clear that all the sauces, mayonaise and aiolies had been pre cooked and lived in the fridge for a while. Please do not do that to your guests, do not give them anything that looks like it was prepared yesterday. With the place halfempty it should not be too much trouble to do these things at the same time as preparing the meat and side dishes? It only has to go from a jar to a plate, no big deal right?
And besides all that, why does it take 20 minutes to get a order of drinks to the table in a near empty place with no one sitting outside? Oh oke, maybe the loose cannon kids from the other table were in your way all the time?
Nope, nope, nope.
