“Wow!”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

A small but very well formed restaurant. The staff were really helpful, explaining the dishes and strengths of the spice. Some really good drinks and beers. The food was fabulous, and the spice and heat was perfect for our taste.
I wish there was a similar restaurant in my home town as I would gladly work my way through the menu!

“Absolutely LOVED the place!”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

We chose this place to have dinner on my husband's birthday, mainly because we never went to a place serving dishes from all over Africa before and it was absolutely the perfect choice!!!

It is a really small place. When we arrived around 7pm and the place was PACKED (if you have a chance to book a table in advance, do so!) but the waiter offer us to make a small table for two close to the cash counter.

Service is extremely friendly and efficient. Laid-back atmosphere, soft music in the background.

We chose a mixed plate with several dishes. It was served on a big plate for two with pancakes to scoop up the food. With it we had mango and coconut beer - sounds weird but it was extremely refreshing and tasty!

Probably the best way to summarize it: At one point, about mid-way through the evening, the waiter was too busy taking care of the guests so that the music went out. 5 minutes of silence with only the sounds of 30 people munching away blissfully! :-)

“One of the best Ethiopian restaurant”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

Small and simple restaurant, as you step in you are welcome by the warm flavour of african spicy dishes and by the very kind personnel. The atmosphere is slightly informal, it's a family-run restaurant (the waiter serving us told her mum is the cooker) and personnel is very kind: they pay lot of attention to customers and are sincerily happy to make you feel confortable doing their best. Food is great: antelope is very tasty, as well as hot king prawns. Courses are served with lot of spicy vegetables which I've found simply fantastic. There is a selection of african beers that are a perfect association with the spicy food, and are served in wooden cups (coconut's?).
I recommend the place for a dinner in couple or with friends, even if it's not easy finding room for numerous groups given that the place is small and busy. I have never found such cheerful people serving you and making feel yourself at home. I will come back for sure.

“Excellent service, nice food and best coffee in town.”
Reviewed December 13, 2012

This is a small restaurant so be on time if you would like to get a table. I recommend the Ethiopian pancake with different types of meat, vegetables and pulses. You eat it all with your bare hands :-). Do not forget to try to fresh roasted coffee done on an open fire. Love it !
