“Great location and friendly staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2014

Very happy and satisfied. Staff went above their duty to make our stay memorable. Stayed for two nights and breakfast, room and staff were great. First floor rooms are newly renovated, so try to get those rooms if you can.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The location is perfect, the hotel is spotless, but by far the best thing is the wonderful staff. They can't do enough for you and are very friendly. I also recommend their breakfast.
A wonderful stay!

Our second stay at this very lovely hotel and we must say that we absolutely love it! It's centrally located, within walking distance from the Central Station. The staff is always helpful and friendly.
We stayed in the large canal facing room this time. Huge windows to see the boats going by ! It's very spacious and the nespresso bar lends a very nice touch. Wifi works fine in the room as always. The owner also has a list of hand-picked restaurants; so do check them out!

Room Tip: A canal-facing room is a must!

We spent 2 nights in the large luxury triple garden room which was very clean we'll fitted out and very quiet. The a Hotel is ideally situated in a picturesque canal street 5 mins walk from the Anne a frank museum and 10 minutes walk to the central train station and was an easy walk to restaurants cafés and boutique shops.
The Hotel staff were fantastic from the moment we made the booking right including offering us complimentary drinks and breakfast on arrival although check in was not officially for another 3 hours . The excellent service continued even up to after we left and thinking I had left items in the Hotel the staff were only too willing to help.
The receptionist provided us with restaurant recommendations, umbrellas, train times and constant offers to do more for us. Buffet breakfast at 10 euros comprised a good variety of rolls, pastries, cereals, cooked food and cold meats with the incredibly courteous and amicable young waiter Haam always keen to ensure that we were well provided for.
I would definitely book this Hotel again for its excellent staff where every effort is made towards customer satisfaction and making guests feel truly welcome.

Room Tip: Choose. large rooms as previous reviews suggest other rooms are very small and a canal view is an ad...

We thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay at this lovely boutique hotel. Its location, on a pretty canal outside of the main tourist drag, was absolutely perfect for us. It is an easy walk to the Anne Frank House and the delightful Nine Streets area which is full of interesting shops, restaurants and cafes. Our room - a medium canal double - had an incredibly comfortable bed and a lovely separate sitting area facing directly onto the canal. After a long day of sightseeing, we really enjoyed relaxing in the elegant but cosy bar with a nice cold drink. To be honest, we enjoyed everything about Hotel Sebastian's, but it was the wonderful staff who really made it a great experience for us. They were all, without exception, polite, friendly, efficient and obliging. They were extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations and tourist advice, and absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. I would thoroughly recommend staying at this lovely, warm, friendly hotel.

Room Tip: It's worth paying a little more to stay in a canal side room.

What a fab place excellent staff amazing setting with very picturesque canal outside just away from main drag. But short walk to hop on off canal tour boats and Anne frank museums . Nice coffee shops restaurants .Small rooms but comfy bed power shower very modern with nespresso machines huge window with boats going by you really feel your in Amsterdam. I'd say it's a trendy upmarket area. Which is quieter than main area. Nice breakfast cooked cereal cakes coffee ect. And complimentary drinks on arrival. Would come back. A great stay.
