“Perfect weather for strolling”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2014

The weather was just perfect for walking the nine streets.
nice little shops.
Nice versatility.
very well rounded for anyone who is particular about shopping certain items, and if you get too overwhelmed, there are enough places to take a food or a drink break.

“Our favorite part.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014

We only spent one night in Amsterdam, but walked for miles and hours in the at times poring rain, to see as much as possible. Although Amsterdam has lots to offer, this area was our favorite part. Lots of little shops, restaurants, bars, and neat architecture. Loved the little unique allies. We felt safe strolling through the "9 streets" and agree it was one of the cleanest parts of town. If you don't have much time, make this one of your to-go-places. (Don't waste your time walking through Jordaan - no idea what the hipe is about). We will go back to "De Negen Straatjes" when we return to Amsterdam, hopefully in the near future.

“A real delight!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014

This is one of the most picturesque places to live in Amsterdam. You can find everything you may need: small and interesting shops, art galleries, designer boutiques, beautiful houses, great bakeries where to sit and have a sweet honet stroopwafel.

“Enchanting Quarter”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

I don’t like shopping but find this place enchanting! There are many design shops but no big brand names which make this place less commercial and more stylish. It is a very nice area to stroll along and one could spend a whole day here without realising time passing by.

“Shopping quirky Amsterdam style”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2013

Old World architectural charm mixes with funky design and one-off pieces. Where else can you eat the best Amsterdam pancakes, pop across the road to a glass gallery, then buy some comfy woollen slippers, followed by some great fashion and, and, and ... All in one street! But wait, there's 8 more!!

Also less crowded than the other "main" shopping areas in the Old Town or PC Hooftstraat.
