We were lucky enough to discover the Museum Suites before our first trip to Amsterdam. It is truly an excellent hotel, situated in a leafy wealthy area of the city; far enough away from the crowds to be a welcome breath of fresh air at the end of a busy day’s sightseeing, yet close enough to make all of Amsterdam's attractions walkable. You could spend all day away from the centre of the city and while away the hours in the many cafes and high-end shops that abound in this beautiful area. As for the owners, they couldn't have been more helpful; as soon as our taxi pulled up, we were met at the door, which was a really nice touch, treated like long-lost friends and shown up to the room. The room itself (we were in the Vermeer suite) was bright, capacious, super clean and stylish. We really enjoyed our trip to Amsterdam and this was thanks in no small part to our accommodation. Thoroughly, thoroughly recommended.

This is the hotel to stay at if you visit Amsterdam. It is expensive by US standards, but for Amsterdam, the prices are bargains. I have stayed at Vermeer suite and I have only praise for it. Bed is terrific, the best sleep ever.

We had the pleasure of staying in this charming hotel for 3 nights in mid October. The owners Anna Marie and Frida are wonderful and cater to your every need and then some! The location was perfect, away from the crowds and yet right down the street from the Van Gogh and Riksmuseum.
We also stayed in the Van Gogh suite which was very charming, had a new comfortable bed and the most wonderful modern bathroom. Anna Marie was happy to assist us with train reservations, restaurants and dozens of other questions I asked. I hope to return in the near future!

Room Tip: Loved the Van Gogh

Perfect place to stay for a romantic getaway in Amsterdam. We spent 2 nights in the Van Gogh and keep as good a memory of the hotel as of the city. Room is truly as cosy, bright and lovely as it looks on the website. Service is warm and personal. Looking forward to go back!

I stayed in the Van Gogh suite.
It was nicely decorated, bright and roomy, with a large balcony. Bed sheets looked new. The bathroom was large and luxurious.
It was just 10 minutes walk away from the Van Gogh museum and very close to the park.
Staff was very helpful. Bikes are available upon request.
Next time in Amsterdam, I would definitely go back to Museum Suites
