We stayed at the Double Tree by Hilton at Amsterdam during our kids school term break holiday. the location is superb because it's just walking distance to Amsterdam Centraal station that connect you to other nice locations arround Amsterdam. The room and services was very good during our stay, with just need to look at the detail of room cleaness. Look forward for another holiday and staying with your hotel

I can't fault this hotel at all! The staff were so so helpful and we had a trainee check us in and she was so kind and helpful and knew exactly what she was doing. Also when you arrive you get given their warm cookies and THEY ARE TO DIE FOR! We ended up buying three tons to bring home. It's right near the station and close to everything you need. I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat! Anyone that has it booked I envy you!!

Decent stay, but have enjoyed other hotels in Amsterdam more. Arrived at 115pm and was told I would have to pay 40 euro to check in an hour and a half early (even though the room was ready and waiting). Have never had this happen at a Doubletree before (only a silver status member, but have never been asked to pay for an early check-in esp that close to time).

Wi-fi is painfully slow, bordering on useless.

Room service was quick and the food good.

First I would like thank you for sharing your feedback, we really appreciate this as it enables us to improve our services and hotel where possible. It is good to hear that you liked our food and the room service was quick. I am sorry for the inconveniences during check-in, I would like to explain the fee we charge for early check-in. Our hotel offers a priority cleaning service for early arrivals allowing guests to enjoy the comfort of their room from the morning already, adding the day to the reserved period at a surcharge of EUR 40. Alternatively luggage can be stored in our luggage store, awaiting the room to be ready, which in our regular cleaning service is by latest 3PM.
My apologies for the slow WIFI you experienced. It would be highly appreciated by us if you could let us know your room number, so we can check the WIFI in this room and see if we can solve the problem as we hardly have complaints about the WIFI.

Again thank you very much for sharing your feedback and I do hope you would consider our hotel again for your future visits.

Had an amazing time at this hotel for my partners birthday, was upgraded by Herman who was so helpful have stayed at many hotels here over last few years a ad would not stay anywhere else again without a doubt the best hotel for location, value, hospitality, cleanliness and overall fab :) will be back for sure xx

Ours was a very short stay, as we transitioned from Viking to our plane.The hotel's location was very useful to us. We could walk from there to many different stores, restaurants, or connections to various bus or boat tours.

Our stay at the hotel was wonderful!

First, it is at a terrific location, a short 3-5 min walk from Amsterdam Central station. My wife and I each had one big luggage and one small luggage, but we had little issue rolling these to the hotel from the station.

The rooms are clean and modern, with many thoughtful touches. With a lot of gadgets between my wife and myself (laptop, ipad, phones etc), we particularly appreciated the many electrical sockets in the room.

However, what stood out for us was the impeccable service at Double Tree Amsterdam. From the moment a hot chocolate fudge cookie was given to my wife and me on arrival, we knew this hotel would be different.

For no fault of the hotel, the room we were initially given was not to our liking. Like in other hotels, we were immediately given a different room. However, unlike other hotels, the professional and quick manner in which the receptionist resolved the situation herself rather than push it to someone else really stood out for us. The duty manager also wrote us a card to apologise (not that they had to) but this card was also another wonderful personal touch.

In addition, the hotel discovered my wife and I were on our honeymoon and arranged for a special surprise for us. I will not reveal the surprise; but let’s just say that it is such thoughtfulness that will make us keep coming back to the hotel whenever we are in Amsterdam.

Saving the best for last, we want to highlight the excellent concierge team (Dean, Antimo, Raymond, Timothy and Manuel) They helped us to get tickets in advance to various tourist attractions, at times at a discount, but at the very least saving us from the horrendous queues at the attractions themselves. We also appreciated their fantastic restaurant / café recommendations. The concierge team would not only make the restaurant booking for us, but also would show us different ways (scenic route, quickest route etc) of getting to the restaurant. The latter really demonstrated to my wife and I how the hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay in Amsterdam as hassle-free as possible.

A wonderful example of Dutch hospitality!

The DoubleTree seems to appeal to the under-40 set, especially their Sky Lounge at the very top. The best thing that the hotel has going for it is the universally excellent staff, all of whom go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. That's where it starts to come apart. The WiFi is so weak that we could barely receive our mail. The Starbucks in the lobby was the savior on that account. The restaurant was just about average at best and way overpriced. And, finally, the queen-sized bed was not too comfortable and could have used a set of disc brakes, because the least movement set it rolling.

Room Tip: Given the choice of inner court and quiet or river/railyard view, take the latter because the window...
