This hotel is in a prime location for getting around Amsterdam. We stayed for 3 nights over Easter weekend and had a great time.

Hotel: The hotel was clean and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful with any request we had. We requested a queen bed room however they were all full so we had a twin room with the beds pushed together, the maid was sent immediately to our room and this was sorted out within 5 minutes.

Room: The room was a great size, not too small in my opinion which other people are stating. We had a view of the train tracks and the noise from the trains never seemed to bother us. There were toiletries in the bathroom(shampoo, shower gel, soap etc), towels and bed linen were changed every day. There was a mac computer in the room which allowed you to browse the internet and watch tv channels.

Location: The location was great in my opinion, right next to central station so great for getting around anywhere via train or the trams. It was approximately a 5-10 minute walk from dam square.

Sky Lounge: The views from the sky lounge are lovely, you get a great view over the whole city. We never ate there however the drinks were good, i had a fruity beer which i would recommend however some of the prices are quite high. I had a latte one afternoon and that was around 10euros however you got some biscuits and nougat with it also.

Breakfast: There was a wide variety of things to choose from for breakfast, it was just like an all you can eat breakfast buffet with food such as bacon, sausages, muffins, cereal, waffles, sweets, variety of bread and there was a wide choice of beverages.

However we had one slight problem with the hotel and that was on the last day leaving our luggage. When we went back for it, it was no where to be seen however this problem was solved and within 20 minutes we had our suitcase back (which another guest had took to the airport and tried to open meaning the lock was twisted so we couldn't open it up). The staff couldn't apologize any more than they did about this and they offered us a free beverage while we waited. We got back in touch with the hotel though to inform the manager about the trouble it caused us and she was very apologetic and explained everything to us properly which reassured us.

OVERALL .... lovely hotel, great location, great city, wide choice of food for breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

We would stay here again!

stayed at the hilton for 3 nights at the weekend, the hotel is very modern, feels very clean and staff are helpful. emailed before we travelled there to request for a room with a nice view for my birthday trip to Amsterdam, the customer services team responded promptly and said they would try their best to arrange this however, upon check in, the receptionist said 'i'll put you facing the courtyard, its quiet there.' well, we were put into room 589, it wasn't much of a view at all apart from being in the bottom corner of the courtyard so basically concrete and very overlooked by the other rooms. needless to say, i had the curtains drawn the whole time. there was also quite a lot of noise upstairs, a lot of stomping around etc just before midnight.

apart from that our stay was fine, there's tea and coffee making facilities in the room, only creamer but no milk which was a bit of a shame and i couldn't be bothered to ring room service.

the location of the hotel is great, literally next to the amsterdam central station, we walked to most of the museums and it was easy to get the tram too.

Appreciate your honest feedback. We have many rooms with amazing views and it seems we did not gave you the room we promised upon check in. I'm terribly sorry. Hope to be able to make it up if you travel to Amsterdam again. If you let me know in advance I definitely will ensure a room with the best view!

I was just at the Sky Lounge for a salad and a glass of wine. What a let down. The views are excellent but the service terrible. Not a welcome, not a thank you, not a good bye.Ordered a salad and a glass of wine (times 2) and paid 50 euros. Incredibly expensive for what u get. The salad was like a side dish, really small, the wine was very good but not worth 7.50 for a glass.
The service was slow, our waiter had a polo shirt and pants that were both dirty, his shoed had seen better times. The salad came with only oil, nothing else, just salt and pepper.
I would only go again at night to maybe have a beer (cant go wrong with beer) to enjoy the view, but the service is terrible. A coffee cost 6.50, are you crazy ?????
Anyway, just go for a beer but stay away from the food.

Please accept my sincere apologies. Your experience was not representative for the service we normally offer. Coffee indeed is 6,50 but comes with a wide range of sweet bites and complimentary second serving. Your profile states you live in Amsterdam. Would you be so kind to contact me to share your details, I'd be delighted to be in touch to make it right.

Normally when staying in Amsterdam I stay in the more southern part of the town center. It is where the nicer streets restaurants and shops are. The northern part is transportation, docks and the redlight area. If you need any of these then it is perfect.

But I was here for a conference and needed easy access to the station. It is right next to the central station. Come out the front of the station and turn left. This makes it perfect for trains to other cities and fast trains to the airport.

Rooms are good business rooms and I would put customers here. I had a business package that includes free mini-bar. Don't get to excited that is 2 beers, 1 wine in a tin and 2 soft drinks. But to be fair that is usually enough for breakfast ;-)

This is a very good hotel in a convenient location. The rooms are a bit small with little place to hang/store clothing. Maid service is good and rooms are kept clean and serviced early in the day. Laundry service is also quite good, if a bit expensive. The breakfast buffet is a 'standard' superior European hotel operation that can be quite busy.
This modern hotel caters to business groups which means the lobby and desk staff are sometimes overwhealmed. The multilingual staff seems to take and inordinate amount of time dealing with check-in/check-out activities. The express check out requires you to fill out an envelope and place your room keys in it.
There are periodic small problems. Barreries in the room safes need to be replaced, wake-up calls are not always received and computer/televisions can come on by themselves in the middle of the night. Our room had an annoying ventilation system that soulded like water was dripping in the ducts all night.

If you need a modern business hotel this is a good choice. If you are looking for something typically Dutch you should look elsewhere.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the city and away from the railroad tracks.

Appreciate your kind comments. Agree we are not typically Dutch, we try to cater an international audience indeed. I'd be greateful if you could share the details of your stay, particularly your room number. The technical issues you have encountered should not occur.

Travelled to amsterdam for the first time and was very pleased with our choice of hotel.
The staff were helpful and the hotel was in an excellent location, just a short walk from the train station. The facilities were ok( the rooms were a little smaller than I expect from this chain of hotels) but clean and well equipped .
The food in the restaurant was excellent and our waiter was exceptionally helpful.
If you visit this hotel I highly recommend a visit to its sky bar. Amazing views of the city .
Overall a great hotel in an excellent location.

The staff was very friendly. They held our bags while our room was being cleaned and after we checked out. The rooms were spacious and clean. Our tv/computer worked well and we had great wifi. We kept hearing a strange noise late at night and early in the morning, had to wear earplugs to sleep. Other than that our stay was nice. Very short walk to train station and close to a lot of attractions.
