We really enjoyed this museum. The building is interesting as a former wharehouse of the Dutch East India Company and the scale replica of the ship The Amsterdam is a great reminder of what an adventure it would have been to sail in those days. We learned a lot about the proud Dutch naval history and the role the sea and navy played in the development of the nation. Of particular interest, was the information on the role that the Dutch played in the slave trade - I had not previously known about the large role played by the Dutch. My wife has some mobility challenges and the museum was well designed to help her see it all.
