The museum is definitely worth a visit if you have young kids, but BE WARNED...it can be EXTREMELY CROWDED. I wish they would limit the number of tickets sold each day. I’m not sure how it even meets fire code regulations with that many people crammed in. It was pricey and we missed most of the exhibits. Plan to go in the off season (when school field trips aren’t present) and maybe your child will enjoy the wonderment of it all.

A fun environment to see mixture of scientific stuff with fun. Great for kids
Adults enjoy ot as well. Very amusing. You need 3-5 hours to finish the whole place.
Very interesting things to buy in the gift shop.

Not suprisingly, it is ridiculously busy during the school holidays. Avoid if you don't have kids. Based on the volume of noise, the kids there seemed to be loving it though!

If you have a museum card and can get in for free, the restaurant has lovely fresh food and a brilliant view of the city from the roof terrance.

A lot of people and children everywhere. Thought it might be a fun place to visit, but I was quite disappointed by the lack of fun, interactive ways to learn about science.

This is a great discovery centre for people with younger children. Lots of hands-on experiments and displays, every one with Dutch and English descriptions. It was quite busy on the day we visited and with adult/late teen children with us, it wasn't quite so engaging. There was one display of household objects through the ages (vacuum cleaners, phones, TV's etc) which was fascinating, but all the other historic items they have are held elsewhere and I would have been more interested to see those.
Our visit took about 2 hours, although with younger children who would want to interact with all of the displays I would allow for double that or more.
