“Good fries!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2014

Went to Vleminckx based on the good reviews… It is in the shopping district and there’s always time for a snack! Prices are good - medium size cone is 2.75€. It is a stand - no places to sit. Interestingly, the café across Vleminckx offers you to sit at their place if you buy a drink!
They were very good! If there’s no line up, go for it - otherwise, there are many places in Amsterdam for fries!

“Fries are very crisp and tasty and plenty of sauces to choose from”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2014

Nice fries. There's always a queue, but moves quickly. Plenty of sauces to choose from. They are only open from 11am to 7pm.

The other good one is on Damrak called Manneken Pis. didn't try these, but should have to get a comparison.

“Perfectly crispy fries”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2014 via mobile

They only have one dish here: Belgian Fries with 20+ sauces.
The fries were made to perfection. The sauces were so-so (Belgium mayo and curry sauce).
Too bad they have any space to sit down and indulge.

“One of the best fries in Amsterdam!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

As always , very crowdy and very tasty ,the only problem is that there is no place to eat them. You have to stand on the street or find some stairs to sit on. Go for the chips and take them somewhere else!

“Best fries in Amsterdam”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

I must say, although the queue seems huge in front of this place, one must give it a shot. The fries at Vlaams Friteshuis Vleminckx are delicious and very crispy. The place is also very hygienic. They serve Belgium fries with 25 different varieties of sauces. The staffs are very friendly and active and you don’t to wait too long in the queue. I would go there again to try their fries with different sauces. All in all, it is a must for everyone.
