“Definitely worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2013

Designed from the start to be one of the most outstanding cinemas in the world. The architecture is not entirely my taste on the outside, but inside the building really works for me. I've been there several times for the VIP arrangement and enjoyed it. There are some modern projection rooms in an attached building, so if you want to see the main auditorium choose your film accordingly.

“Worth a step in on a lazy afternoon in Amsterdam”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2013

Bored of the Red light district? Zoo too far away? Had your fair share of coffee and shops? There are many things to do in Amsterdam other than looking at red lights or drinking the world famous coffee. Like Venice you can joyfully get lost walking amongst the canals and streets of Amsterdam, finding yourself in one of the many squares (pleins) of the city with a couple of hours to kill and only a few euros to hand doesn't have to end up in a haze. The Tuschinski Theater in Rembrantplein is worth a visit if you're in the area. Almost 100 years old the building is a visually harsh combination of styles all of which I know absolutely nothing about. I can summarize by saying It looks and feels like a cross between Bio-shock's rapture and Batman's Gotham city, it's baroque and it's stunning. The theater has a 3D multi screen cinema with balconies galore and also hosts theatrical plays and a offers a building tour.

“Fabulous”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2013

It is amazing architecture for a theater near Rambrands Square. It is a happening place of city Amsterdam. Very busy place, lots of people moving around and amongst all this a beautiful piece of architecture. Watching a movie in this theater is very entertaining in itself. Very good acoustic and beautiful interior. The value of tickets is a bit on the higher side but it is understandable that a huge amount of that is being spent on the maintenance of this theater.
Spare some time for this experience surely.

Since I was staying very near, I went for a movie in this theater. Stunningly beautiful cinema. One must visit it and enjoy the architecture of this cinema. The maintenance of the place is very good and it makes your evening really beautiful after watching a movie here. Do not miss if you are in Amsterdam

“Beautiful theater, great VIP section”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2013

We got the Loge Arrangement, which meant we basically had a semi-private room with a couch for us to sit on together and a server who brought us drinks and food (including in the price). The theater is gorgeous, there are so many small details inside and outside that made it such a great experience. The tickets are a bit expensive, but it was worth it, it was a great date. :-)
