you don't need to go there for movies necessarily - the facade and the interior are just beautiful - sound and screen are great, too

This is the oldest thtre. in Amsterdam, very ornate, very detailed, 15ueros to see a flick, comparable to the Lunt-Fontaine in the construction

“Wouldn't wanna have missed it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2012

I'm normally not into cinemas during vacation.
But the Tuschinski is different. Built in 1920, it mixes the typical beutiful architecture of that time with a little bit of Gotham architecture. It was obviously built to impress and so the interiors are spectecular - plus it is quite an experience to watch a modern, thrilling movie in their first great hall which rather looks like an old opera.

We had the more expensive tickets for the balcony, so we had a great view and something to eat/drink inclusive! Since we saw the last movie on that day, every woman got flowers after the film. I was dazzled! :)

This is the oldest and most beautiful theater I know. You can enter the foyer without having to pay a ticket.

“A few times per year we do visit this great theatre with its unique circus.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2012

Find out what's on. If you get the chance to go to the Circus you will never forget the experience. Both adults and children should go.
