“walk around”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2013

It is a nice area to walk around, crossing the brides and canals (if its in a good weather), you will get a true look at Amsterdam. there are many coffee shops, restaurants and stores around the area as well.

“We stayed here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2013

Stayed with friends living in a third floor apartment here. I think Amsterdam is one of the most beautiful European cities I have been to and the view across Prinsengracht one of the nicest. Love it.

“Quiet side of A'dam”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2013

We like to walk along the 3-grachts , criss crossing the bridges and canals in between. Definitely a great pleasure in good weather; you can also cycle. Loads of neighbourhood pubs, coffees, restaurants; far away from the touristic places. It has a much more "local" feel to it.

“Fantastic canal in the heart of Amsterdam”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

Walking down the Prinsengracht, you get a true look at what Amsterdam is famous for. Lovely, picturesque homes line either side of the canal with small cafes and shops in between. The tree lined streets are quiet and peaceful with a small boat drifting by on the water every now and then.

It an absolute treat to walk along the quaint streets and experience the locals going about their daily life. An absolutely fantastic canal to stroll down, you won’t be disappointed.

“Beautiful canal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2013

Walk along this stately and beautiful canal. But be wary of fast and quiet cyclists!

There were different geese and ducks in the canal water -- some of the ducks were all black with little white bills.

There was hardly a houseboat parking spot to spare! Some of the houseboats are really waterlogged. None of the boats were being used as it was cold outside (end of October)
