Owner description: This charming neighborhood is Amsterdam's Greenwich Village, with its narrow alleys, leafy canals lined with 17th-century houses, quirky specialty shops, cafes and designer boutiques.

The Jordaan is the most picturesque neighbourhood in Amsterdam that I have seen. It has super cute small cafes and bars along the canal. The best way to explore the Jordaan is by cycle. Makes you want to live there.

This district of Amsterdam is one of the most beautiful places to go for a walk in Amsterdam, it is cozy, charming, and you can see the day by day of people in Amsterdam.

We rented an apartment in The Jordaan for a week and enjoyed every bit of it! It is such a lively place and can be explored endlessly. We bough breakfast for a baker across the street and it was such a simple pleasure! I remember walking into an old-fashioned corner candy store and was taken back to my childhood! Young school kids were flocking into it and choosing from jars and jars of different candy stacked high to the ceiling! The whole area is charming and full of surprises like this.

This area is exemplary look of Amsterdam. Trees lining along the canal and Dutch-style houses, cobbled streets crisscrossing narrow alleys, and a lot of design boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Quiet yet lively and fun in its own way.

Fantastic district of Amsterdam if you're there to soak up the architecture and atmosphere. Lovely old houses, beautiful canals and lots of interesting places to dip in and out of.
