Not every day do you see a story so grave and intense preserved in its truest form. The struggle of Anne Frank and her family, as elucidated in her diary, is beautifully preserved here along with the original diary. Walking through the hallways, getting behind the bookcase (which is protected in its original form), witnessing where a bunch of people hid for weeks on end teleported us way back into history.

The whole tour takes you inside the walls that kept Anna’s family safe during 2 years during WW2. The rooms show a bit of the life they had while hidden
Sad sight of what WW2 was, and the horror endure by the Jewish people.
Well kept museum, translation in several languages.

We booked the tour before the museum and was worth every extra penny! The guide was interesting and very knowledgeable who made the whole presentation fascinating to listen to. The tour itself is busy and you do queue at times but it does flow. Fascinating place and lots of things I did not know about prior to going.

This visit is needed if you come to Amsterdam! Everything you need to know about WW2 and Anne Frank! The museum is well organised but I would recommend booking in advance online as there’s a possibility it’ll be fully booked if you just turn up. Definitely grab an audio guide as well as this helps explain everything while walking round.

We booked the tickets well in advance as knew it would be busy. Surely just one google search tells people they need to pre-book so don’t know any they’re so surprised they don’t get in on the day. It’s very busy but not too bad, emotional and thought provoking. Lots and lots of information I’d highly recommend
