Enjoyed another visit, no queues, more commentary Nd films than last visit which made it more interesting.
Somewhat harrowing but a reminder that we must never allow this to happen again... I cannot say more....
After seeing a number of Holocaust sites throughout Europe and the world. This is the most personnel insight into a normal innocent family fight for survival. The stories of the friends that helped hide these two families will give you hope in humanity and the pins on the wall where Otto mapped the allied invasion whilst he was must have been thinking it was only a matter of time for liberation, only to be captured by the SS will bring a tear to your eye.
Book tickets before your arrival as this sells out.
everyone to Amsterdam should visit this inspiring tribute to Ann Frank and her family and friend's experience.
The Anne Frank Home and Museum is a very moving and humbling experience. Be sure to grab the audio equipment and watch out for the steep stairs. Someone with walking and climbing issues may have difficulty.
The Anne Frank House was the cultural highlight of my whole trip to Amsterdam. You definitely need to book before you visit. Everything about the museum is well thought and and well organised. You have to check in your coat and bag in the cloakroom but it is free and makes the tour more enjoyable as there is a constant stream of visitors. The audio guide is also included in the €10 euro fee and it was really easy to use and very good quality. I visited coincidentally on Remembrance Sunday so it was particularly poignant. However, I feel the whole experience would be moving and interesting whatever day you visit. I would allow at least two hours to visit the museum as you do not want to rush this experience. Superb!
We also booked the introductory history lesson, which I recommend if you need a quick refresher before the tour. Very moving. Is a self guided audio tour through the building including the offices, and the annex.
Take the time to buy tickets in advance because this is a must stop. So much to learn from such a little girl. Tons of history in this museum and very easy to spend a few hours. Get the listening guide. They run on time and have laid out the museum and operate it very smoothly.
The tour is very well organized. You must buy your tickets on line and pick a time to visit. Book early as the museum is very popular. Audio available for free.
Tells a very compelling story about the life of Ann Frank and her family during the occupation of the Netherlands by the Germans. A sad experience!
Expect to spend about an hour.
This was a very moving and eye opening experience, something I think everybody should see. Really informative and interesting yet also a very somber feeling just walking through the Anne Frank House.
If you are in Amsterdam, this is something you should absolutely see.
A very hard and moving story that reminds us of the terrible acts of WW2. No visit to Amsterdam would be complete without a visit here. Prepare yourself for the queues as you work your way around.
