I went to Anne Frank House at the beginning of November, I must admit you will not expect the emotional rollercoaster in there, I didn’t know but where Anne frank and her sister used to draw on the walls the drawing on the walls are still in there, covered with glass to preserve same as all the posters the girls had, you can go through the book case they used to hide in, honestly such a good experience - I will advise though, I thought you can buy tickets on the door - you CANNOT buy ANY tickets at the door everything has to be done online - they release tickets 3 months in advance ( they sell out quick) and if they sell out you have to buy it on the day, I think like the 30% of tickets left get sold on the day, me and my partner logged on at 10am when they first start releasing the tickets and luckily we managed to get 2 tickets but they sell out fast keep the page refreshed till you buy one :)

The museum does a great job of welcoming large numbers of visitors through a small space while at the same time providing a great overview of these tragic wartime events. What it cannot do is give you a real sense of what it was like for a normal teenaged girl to spend some two years cooped up with seven others; what she and the others ate; how they attempted to make the time go by, and the hopes and dreams of that gifted young lady. That is left to the diary itself, and is why I suggest you read it before you go if possible.

Very well done and informative. The museum has amazing artifacts and really lets you envision how Anne & her family hid in the house. Don't be disappointed if you can't get tickets online 2 months before. Keep trying - we got the tickets the day before we wanted to go. One of the highlights of our trip.

Worth doing the pre visit talk, which provides useful context to story and exhibit. Not a massive amount to see but worth visiting to gain a small insight into the family’s life in Amsterdam. Interesting was our presenter’s repeated assertion that their story was no different to many others’ at that time other than that AF had a gift for writing and her father the contacts to have her diaries published

Time slot tickets are enforced. This helps with overcrowding but there was still some waiting around in queues on the upper floors. Though the staff handled it really well in a friendly calm manner.

The actual exhibition is good, the actual diarys being at the very end. Audio guides are an absolute must!

All in all would recommend as an insight into the story of Anne Frank

Enjoyed my time here, was a very emotional experience and left me teary eyed. Using the audio guide definitely provided a better clearer understanding of the events what occurred during the War.

For 10 euros this was well worth seeing. It was so moving to see the rooms that were used by the Frank family and friends for over two years and to walk through behind the famous bookcase. It was very well organised and bookings can only be made on line. The benefit is that you book an arrival time slot-ours was 11.00 to 11.15. So entrance is through a modern building and there are no queues-just check what time slot it is and when yours appears you walk in. there is a really nice reasonable cafe as well

Came here several years ago and thought worth another visit.
Booked on line several weeks ago.
It was OK but having visited Auschwitz last year this was no comparison.
There wasn't actually that much to see.
Would be no good for disabled people as lots of stairs.
Had to queue at the end to see extracts from the diary but was still in and out in under an hour.
Was good to see young people going but difficult to judge their level of interest.

What a moving and beautiful presented museum this is. Allowing only a certain amount people at once, enables you to be able take your time and read all literature. It is an important story that we must all hear, so we never allow this to ever happen again!

One of the must do attractions in Amsterdam. Well worth a visit and a sobering experience. Well organised but remember to book in advance
