Another Amsterdam success! The museum is light, airy and accessible, set in the Museums Quarter where you can eat, ice skate (at least in winter!) and just generally enjoy the open space.
We queued for a short while (5 minutes or so) but as we had bought tickets earlier from the kiosk at the hop on/off bus stop, we were able to avoid the longer queue.
The exhibits are displayed chronologically on three levels, to which there are stairs and lifts. The museum was busy but the size of the exhibition rooms meant that it was easy to circulate and view the paintings and other items of interest, all of which gave a comprehensive insight into the artist's life and emotions.
An enjoyable first visit!
