Friendly service - helpful, not overly attentive, vibe of 'glad to help',
We ordered spaghetti bolognese for him, raviola ricotta with mushrooms in white wine cream sauce and greek salad. Al dente handmade pasta, amazing mushrooms, gorgeous rich creamy sauce. Partner liked the spag bol - fresh tomatoes in sauce, not tinned. The Greek salad was crisp and fresh with a creamy feta cheese.
Bread, olives and a mayo/gherkin type dip (?remoulade) were delivered intially - the bread was fresh and yummy, the remoulade was nice, but the olives were fab - the dressing on them really complimented the olive taste well.
Carafe of house red set off the whole meal nicely.
Ambience - bare wood tables and chairs - homely, unpretentious, welcoming.
