Owner description: The Royal Concertgebouw is one of the world's most famous concert halls renowned for its exceptional acoustics. With 700 concerts a year the Concertgebouw offers a varied programme featuring leading international musicians, orchestras, and conductors. The hall functions as a home base for the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, one of the very best orchestras in the world. Time and time again, critics have lauded its unique sound, which clearly stands out among thousands of others. Behind-the-scenes tours provide a look into the concert hall's rich history. There are scheduled tours three times a week and for groups available on request. From September to June at 12:30pm. Every Wednesday, there is a free 30 minute concert in the Concertgebouw. Due to the popularity of these concerts it is recommended to arrive at least 45min before the concert.

“Beautiful building!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2014

We were fortunate enough to get in to see one of the free lunchtime concerts in one of the concert halls. We showed up at least 45 mins. before the performance and there were people lined up already. The concert hall was beautiful, such wonderful architecture. We also booked a guided tour for after the concert that lasted about 90 mins. Very worthwhile doing. We got access to areas not open to the public and our guide provided us with the history of the building. He was entertaining and informative. Would recommend both the free concert and the tour.

“Wonderful Brahms.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2014

Wonderful orchestra, wonderful hall. Grateful for the 30 minute preview at 12:30 this afternoon. We were told to get there at 12 but that wasn't necessary. We could have come at 12:30 and had seats although it was quite full.

“Holland's best concert hall”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2014

The best concerts in Holland are given here, in the finest hall (superb acoustics), fantastic setting, brilliant service, they really make you feel welcome. Exceptional in Holland, free public transport by tram and bus from andf to, free drinks (including wine) before the concert and during the break.
