Damrak should be the main thoroughfare between Central Station and Dam Square. Lot of historical buildings on the sides of the street with shops, cafes and piers for canal cruising all along. Not much to see in this busy street but tourists should aware of their belongings while walking in this area.

As this is the main corridor between Dam and central station this is also the area with
Most pickpockets, run down hotels and sleazy hotels. So as a Amsterdam resident i would say don't hang out here too long. The city has much more to offer.

Damrak is located in the heart of the city center between central station and Dam Square. Busy and crowded area.

One should not forget when visiting Damrak: watch out for pick-pockets. It's a good idea to have a neck pouch, so you can always aware of your money.
Damrak is full of interesting activities. The canals were nice, food stalls and shops, and even a playground. However if you're planning to visit other places during your stay in the Netherlands, don't buy souvenirs here. They cost more.
Damrak is interesting and one of the must visit during your stay in Amsterdam.

Damrak is the main tourist hub, lots of tourist shops and services with easy access to the main train station and canal boat rides. It's also crowded and a bit hectic
