Grand building with a great architecture in Amsterdam. Its a great place to visit and enjoy its garden outside.

We enjoyed the visit. It is a nice museum with lots of nice pictures and other things. What I did not like much was the airconditioning, there was really cold inside which was quite nice when we consider that outside was boiling, but after a while I and my daughter felt really cold.

Don’t get stressed out by the 110 people all holding cameras and phones a few centimetres from a tiny self portrait of Van Gogh, the Rijksmuseum is a huge place with lots of overlooked masterpieces. It may not be one of the 10 pictures you must see, but if it looks good to you, enjoy it. Staff really efficient and helpful.

Busy, costs £17.50 for adults but free for kids and no student discount. But brilliant art of course, beautiful building. Toilets free but not very clean and very busy.
