Recently reopened after restoration this is a museum that any visitor to Amsterdam should visit. The displays of Dutch masters alone make the trip worthwhile

What a wonderful museum. It's been remodeled since I was last there and it has a simply terrific collection of artwork. There are some really old Dutch paintings on the ground floor where you enter, and from there you should go to the second floor, not just to see Rembrandt's most famous pictures (e.g., the Night Watch) but to see pictures from 400 years ago of young couples celebrating their wedding; bakers baking; the whole hard working Dutch society, not to mention some not hardworking types, like a couple that has fallen down drunk while thieves take their stuff.
The restaurant is airy, with a skylight, and has a nice selection of things to eat.

This is one of the largest museums in Amsterdam, to know it all in one day you have to run through each of the rooms, it's better if you get the Musumkaart and try to see it in at least 3 or 4 days.

There are several and very different rooms, also you shouldn't miss the Rembrant exposition.

Everything about this museum was great! Buy tickets to both this museum and Van Gogh at the same time. You can use the ticket to the Rijksmuseum anytime. Doing both museums can be too much!

I liked it okay, but after just visiting a few museums in London I didn't feel the value was there comparatively. But I may have felt different if this was my first stop in Europe.
