Visited at 11am on a Monday in July. Cool surroundings very welcome on a really hot day. Waited 3 minutes for tickets (15 euro each, under 18 free) - think we were lucky to escape the queue's a lot of reviewers describe. This place is worth every cent - completely re-vamped and very creative displays of art, sculpture, exhibits and curios including: the Dutch greats: Rembrandt and Vermeer, a whole room of facinating model ships, weapons and armour from all ages, an oriental wing, and collections of Italian art and glass ware.
The café/restaurant is clean, and classy but like everywhere in Amsterdam expensive: 3 apple pies, 2 softy drinks and a beer were 26 euros.
Spent 4 hours here and didn't see everything - well worth a visit and excellent value for the price.More
